Camana Bay Seawall
Robson Construction carried out concrete seawall capping works at Camana Bay, Grand Cayman — one of the island's most significant mixed-use developments — installing reinforced concrete capping over existing steel sheet piles along both the north and south sides of the canal, together with the adjacent concrete sidewalk.
The scope covered approximately 280 linear feet of seawall capping across multiple sections, plus wall returns, tie rod installation, and CMU block wall construction reinforced with vertical rebar and Durowall ladder reinforcement. Capping and dock slab work was placed at 4,000 psi, with 3,000 psi concrete used to fill between the block walls.
Working directly alongside an active canal and a multi-story building under construction, the project required specialized access and safety planning — including a dedicated seawall platform system, mini-excavator work on the landside of the sheet piles, and a full crew of carpenters, masons, and reinforcing ironworkers delivering the concrete pours by ready-mix truck and pump.
This project reflects Robson Construction's marine construction capability — engineered concrete seawall systems built to perform in a live canal environment, on one of Cayman's largest waterfront developments.
